Howbert and Mays Garden Designers Wicklow LogoHowbert and Mays Garden and Landscape Designers is run by the husband-and-wife team of Anthea Howbert and Tycho (Tig) Mays. Established in 2002, the practice carries out garden and landscape design, garden renovation and development, as well as skilled, hands-on gardening and plant supply.  Their style is relaxed, informal and fitting for the location. There is an emphasis on planting, and their gardens have a natural and comfortable atmosphere. Hard landscaping is kept to a minimum, and materials are well-chosen and elegant. Howbert and Mays have worked with numerous architectural practices.

Tycho has appeared on Television as a judge on RTE's popular 'SuperGarden' show, as well as a radio gardening correspondent with the late Gerry Ryan.

Projects are nationwide, with a concentration around Dublin and Wicklow. There is a strong emphasis on planting and a belief in gardens improving and evolving over time. No garden stays still - they are in a state of flux and need thoughtful and intelligent care.
