A fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree with medium-sized oval leaves, white flowers in summer and red berries in the autumn. It can be planted as a specimen, where it will grow to 4-6 metres in height m, or as a hedge, where it can be kept trimmed. The berries are liked by birds, and along with a bronze flush on the leaves, it makes an excellent autumn and winter display. If planted as a hedge, space plants 60 - 90 cms apart. Trim off any straggly growth in midsummer, after flowering, and trim to shape in February or March. Plant in fertile, well-drained but moist soil in sun or light shade. 175-200 cm tall plants in a 7.5L container. Please note, items displayed on this website may not be available in each of our shops.  (M)
