Italian alders are fast-growing, deciduous trees which are excellent for damp, heavy or wet soil. They are similar to our native alder but have glossier leaves which stay glossy and healthy throughout the summer. Suitable for planting with other species in a mixed planting scheme or in a shelterbelt where their quick growth is a great asset. Suitable for almost all soil types, but damp or heavy clay soil is preferred - this makes it a good choice for near ponds, streams or riverbanks.

  • Well-developed bare root plants
