Muscari armeniacum

Grape hyacinth

Price: €2.95

A sweet and cheery spring flower - decidedly old-fashioned! A bulb which produces tiny grape-like flowers in abundance. Frequently found lining paths in cottage gardens around Ireland, they multiply rapidly and can form a blue carpet. They grow in grass, under trees and in difficult places where little else will flourish. Plant to about twice their depth in well-drained soil, or in containers such as window boxes where they will grow with little encouragement. Mildly scented. 7-9cm pots with 11 bulbs
