Melianthus major is an evergreen shrub with impressive blue-green foliage - a most desirable 'architectural' plant. It grows in sun or light shade, and is tolerant of wet or dry soils, though best with some shelter from wind. We have noticed that the plant is best when under the light cover of mature trees. The foliage is lightly scented of peanut butter! A brilliant plant where interesting foliage is required. Although considered borderline tender, if the ground is well mulched this plant will survive even the harshest Irish winter. 3 litre container.
