'Vanilla Fraise' Hydrangea
Glorious cone-shaped panicles of white flowers, which fade to pink as they mature. The large fluffy flowers can be seen from mid summer to late autumn. Great deciduous shrub even for a shady or north-facing spot. Keep the flower heads on the plant over the winter, and trim the plant heavily in late winter / early spring. Like all Hydrangeas, it likes moist, humus-rich soil, so mulch annually with leaf-mould, compost or well-rotted manure. Eventual height up to 2m. 7-10L pot.
