Hydrangea quercifolia 'Burgundy'

Oak-leaved hydrangea 'Burgundy'

Price: €9.95

A very unusual and a particularly attractive hydrangea with burgundy-red leaves. The large, oak-like leaves turn gold and deep burgundy in autumn, this is a plant that is more about foliage than flowers. When it does flower (it needs a warm summer for them to be impressive) it has white flowers in a conical flowerhead in late summer and autumn. After flowering they fade to an off-pink colour and stay on the plant. An excellent plant for a sunny or lightly shaded spot, such as at the edge of a woodland, in well-drained to moist soil with plenty of organic matter. Height and spread 2 x 2 m. 40-50cm tall plant in a 3L pot. Please note: items displayed on this website may not be in stock in each of our shops.
